What to Expect
Opening Drumming Circle: A rhythmic and cultural drumming circle led by Negus.
Preventative Health Fair: Access free health screenings for Type 2 Diabetes and Hypertension, lactation consultations, Afro-Caribbean nutrition workshops, and Black hair health sessions.
Networking Opportunities: Meet and connect with Black physicians, nurses, and healers who serve the community.
Community Partner Showcase: Engage with representatives from leading organizations like Durham Community Health Centre, Durham Children’s Aid Society, Durham Region, Ifarada, The Black Queens of Durham, Lakeridge Hospital, and many others.
This vibrant, family-friendly event is an opportunity to celebrate Black health and wellness, foster meaningful connections, and gain valuable resources that empower individuals and families. All are welcome!
